Im sure it does probably help in other areas of life with memory. But if you cant rap,its not going to make your lyrics any better.
Only advantage I can say it will give you,is probably your delviery sounding better since your not distracted reading off a paper. But Pac wrote,and and was great at delivering whatever emotion he wanted. Although he was an actor as well. But Jay didnt write,and his delivery is nothing to write home about. Has anybody ever asked Jay "whats the point?". Or is everyone always too amazed to get that question out

I think lyrically he was in his prime on The Reason. "Nothing Like It" era was Beans at his best, to me. He got locked up right after recording The B Coming, and that was when everything fell off for him.
