He's an artist. Asking him to recreate the same picture literally thousands of times must become bland.

You continue creating and creating as you grow in life and people just bugging you to repaint a particular moment... I could see why people would be upset but then again you paid an artist to become part of their experience, not so that you could request what you want to hear...

Bruh, how many concerts you think Michael Jackson did where he didn't perform Thriller and Billy Jean. Prince concerts need to come with a disclaimer.

Cats were pissed after the Atlanta concert.

you right, but in the same breathe :yeshrug: again, he's an artist and it's the picture he wants to create now.

as well, Prince & MJ are two completely different beings. i wouldn't expect the same approach from both of them :ld:

Yes he can, he performs other songs from those albums. From what I've heard it's pretty much pot luck on what songs you will hear at his shows now. Purple Rain gets left off a lot as apparently he doesn't really care for the song anymore. Some people paid 1000 bucks to see him at the recent Atlanta show and there were some definite boos when he left the stage.

He seems adamant on trying to force people to like his new shyt. After the concert they were handing out his latest cd and I saw folks refusing it once they saw what it was.

he's been including his new music cds as part of the concert ticket. that way he can still "sell" records in theory when folks show up and wanna strictly hear the old stuff.

:yeshrug:Sorry he's overrated.

He'll always be a good 3rd string under Rick James and Michael Jackson. That cannot be denied.

rick james ain't touching prince. I'm not gonna argue that.

MJ only beats prince in singing and dancing. but prince's catalogue overall shyts on MJ due to the sheer volume. plus prince is a songwriting genius and multi-instrumentalist.
