Be honest. Mad Men is the most overrated show of all time

Just finished binge watching. I would rank this as mid tier. It can't hang with the top dawgs like the wire, the sopranos, etc. But it has its place. I do think people hype this show up. They should have ended the show earlier as well.

Lane, Pete and Peggy my fav characters. I know people hype joan up but I liked looking at Peggy (after she glowed up in the later seasons)

Final season was throw away status

Also I can appreciate this smiley more, now that I know Don must have made that face more than 100x over the course of the series.

I rewatched it during quarantine a couple months back and after reassessing....

...still a top tier show for me, fukk the OP! But seriously it's a great show if you appreciate the character study. Plus for me, the show came out when I was a teenager and I thought Don was dope and the kind of guy you want to be like, I was out there wanting to have a job where I wore suits everyday. Rewatching as an adult I definitely recognize what a silly and shallow view I had and it was interesting to see what details I had missed from watching the series the first time. Very layered and detailed series.

Tbh when rewatching I was surprised how Peggy looked at the very beginning of the show. I remembered her looking worse so I thought she was decent and smashable until the becoming fat plot line. It helps too if you compare young Peggy to Elizabeth Moss rn because the woman hasn't aged well.
