They see me trolling, they hating.....
edit: I had up the wrong link....theres a vid on youtube with the same exact title but its not the same docu, the only available version to my knowledge is this link and torrents

In this controversial and ground-breaking documentary, historian Tom Holland who is taking the chance to enter the risky waters, suggests that we have absence of historical evidence about the beginning and rise of the Islam. Muslims believe that from the very beginning, the great Arab conquest were all about Islam. But in the 7th century, you can barely find a new religion called Islam anywhere in the historical records.

Even Mecca may not have been the real birthplace of the prophet. The earliest biographies we have were written nearly 200 years after the prophet's lifetime. This is a world founded on stories of Mohammed.

I haven't watched it yet but it looks interesting. Gonna try to peep it tonight tho...passing it along in the meantime.

Article about the screening being canceled due to crazy muslims threatening to blow shyt up

:snoop:

I've never seen a man desperately stoop to such lows in regards to something he "doesn't care about."

bro I've been collecting Islamic literature and docus long before I knew u existed, get off my nutts :merchant:

All religions/philosophies fascinate me bro, I just don't actually believe in any of that nonsense b. What I don't care for is when folks like u try to convince us that they're true or that we're ignorant if we don't subscribe to that shyt. I'm not losing sleep over some lunatics opinions bro, don't really give a fuk bout what u think :ehh:

If I run across a crazy nikka who thinks Sith Lords and Jedi Knights are true I'd be annoyed, especially if they were arrogant about it and calling everyone idiots for not agreeing with them...

but that shyt wouldn't stop me from enjoying Star Wars bro

That's just interesting to me because you told me you didn't care. :merchant:

I'm not trying to convince you of anything, that's where you're wrong. All I do here is clear up falsehoods that get tossed around with such prevalence here.

And then you have the nerve to speak about arrogance? You constantly show no respect and speak in a short, condescending manner. Very poor characteristics, if you ask me. And since religion is an issue of morals, based on your poor showings here alone, I would veer far, far from whatever angle you're coming from. You conduct yourself in too poorly a manner for me to consider you for any type of discussion on morals.

Your "Yo bro it's fairy tale" act is comedic at best. Oh it's fairy tales? Well that certainly settles that debate. The funny thing is your ignorance/arrogance only strengthens my faith.

Qur'an 16:24 said:
When it is said to them, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "Tales of the ancients!"
Qur'an 8:31 said:
When Our Signs are rehearsed to them, they say: "We have heard this (before): if we wished, we could say (words) like these: these are nothing but tales of the ancients."
Qur'an 25:5 said:
And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening."
Qur'an 68:15 said:
When to him are rehearsed Our Signs, "Tales of the ancients", he cries!
So you see, even your own ignorance is a sign of Allah.

I'm simply trying to point out to you that you don't know what you're talking about but that message is clearly going straight over your head as well.

I must say the docu was interesting but I'm a tad bit disappointed. I don't know what I was expecting but I guess I was looking for a more historical timeline of how Islam and the Quran came about....the nitty gritty details of how the book may have evolved over time....similar to what we know about the biblical stories (being borrowed from older myths/traditions). I appreciate his attempt but nothing was really accomplished in this docu and the final conclusion was that it "seemed" like the book came out of "nowhere" which is exactly what Muslims believe it did.

No historian can really accept the fact that an Angel came down from heaven and gave Muhammad these's words/writings and rightfully so. That's just part of being sane. That one Islamic scholar himself admitted that if you did not believe that Muhammad was God's messenger then you wouldn't find any answers. Acknowledging that one has to suspend all logic and reason if he/she hopes to piece the puzzle together.

:mindblown:

It would one day be nice to get a decent historical timeline of the whole thing (why do we care is what @wize fool asked, because it's part of HUMAN HISTORY and any person interested in history SHOULD CARE) but Muslims are so damn hostile that they'll probably never let the outside world get that close. Has anyone even examined the alleged tomb of Abraham yet? Is anyone even allowed to do that? Probably not.

This film did raise some interesting questions but its not worth killing Tom Holland over. I don't see how any muslim could be threatened by this film. However I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to kill him anyway. (The film Theo Van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali made wasn't really that serious neither but someone still ended up dying over it) Yal nikkas are overly emotional for no damn reason.

I guess the film is atleast worth a watch tho.........just to hear the different perspectives ppl have on the subject
