In a way, trans identity is very much tied to patriarchy and misogyny. If you ever read any trans men stories, they often talk about their internalized hate for women because they were taught that women were less than.

You have stories of trans women who feel they failed to perform masculinity so badly that they feel that they must be women.

And both trans men and women often transition because instead of standing proudly in their queerness, they rather transition to help better replicate normal man/woman parings that are endorsed by patriarchy.

It is not a matter that should be swept under the rug, but that is what happens when people like you call for the discussion to be closed down and dismiss those who comment on it as transphobic.
This shyt should be closed down because it's coming from a dishonest position, with only intent to deceive and mislead.
I don't think anyone here is foolish to believe that every trans person is a rapist. We do, however, acknowledge how the environment that's been cultivated allows those without scruples to act with impunity.
And how is this any different from lesbians?

If you're acknowledging that this environment exists, aren't lesbians also benefiting from these conditions too, where they can act with "impunity"? If you're of this belief, then lesbians can throw anything at the wall to further their plight, can they not? Can't lesbians also frame the narrative from which they're the victims without reproach? You see the paradox in which you're arguing from?

How have you determined that the intention is to deceive and mislead. The article is transparent with the numbers. It even acknowledges the difficulties transgender people go through when trying to find a place to fit in.

:childplease:

You think I take a different approach when articles on things like the domestic violence in same sex relationships are published?

This problem will always crop up when dikkheads like you prioritise protecting the group's image over doing what's right by the victim. It becomes a pathetic display of trying to sweep issues under the rug, and shift people's focus, whilst you play damage control.

"I've had someone saying they would rather kill me than Hitler," says 24-year-old Jennie

"They said they would strangle me with a belt if they were in a room with me and Hitler. That was so bizarrely violent, just because I won't have sex with trans women.

:laff: That’s a wild reaction to getting rejected

Sounds like something a hurt white dude would say.

The Truth
Essentially, this study, was a questionnaire made by a lesbian who founded an anti-trans group, and she sent it out to her followers (80 of which responded), who're by association also anti-trans. This is the equivalent of curating a piece about white people facing racism, without referencing any actual accredited data or polling, but using white supremacist groups as the model for results and anecdotes of the experiences they've gone through, as if these biased and low-scale sums are reflective of an actual problem.

I wouldn't be surprised if the author of this article isn't a lesbian too.

Not only is this irresponsible journalism for the obvious reasons, but it only throws gasoline on the fire around the discourse of trans people, as by the evidence in this thread. Folks are going to read this and think trans people, in general, are out here trying to rape people.
