The issue is not now but a couple of years down the line when either Sony or M$ (probably the former) go the hybrid or portable route with far superior hardware. Wouldn't surprise if that happened.

That would be a huge step backwards for both Sony and Microsoft. They're also far too invested in their power race to drop out now.

I was about to pick up Bayonetta 1 on PC but now I'm just gonna get both on Switch since 2 is probably staying Nintendo

Bayonetta 2 was the GOAT beat-em-up action game of it's generation and had hella promotion (bayonetta was even given a spot in smash bros) and still managed to flop on the WiiU. You can't blame Platinum's style either, since they just got off developing the combat for a game from an arguably more niche series that did 2 million.

The salty people may have a point with bayonetta not being a good fit for Nintendo if we are being reality

No, they have no point. it was ported, and will sell more. Basically because of Nintendo, the franchise still exists, and the IP got more exposure as a smash inductee. Nintendo didn't leave it to rot on the Wii U. And there is even amiibo for Bayo. Platinum can still eat regardless now. Those salty dudes should be asking MS where scalebound is, and Sony heads should be happy with Neir.

And how much did Neir even sell being on PC and PS4? vs Bayo 2 on a console with a 13 mill player base?

I'm hoping Sony can release some portable device part way through the next generation that we can use to play PS5 games on the go. Not a hybrid or a separate portable as such, more like companion hardware.
