Theres supposed to be a male character in the new one. They reported that female character leads dont sell games so i think they were supposed to give the player the option between the two. HOpefully its a rumor.

It's really not the action genre alone. The industry is struggling heavily ever since the recession. Game budgets are ballooning and there is an oversaturation of solid games for the consumer to play. THQ itself is dangerously close to shutting down and selling off their major franchises.
