are you coming to the Bay to obliterate the hipster population
hayward is arguably the bay area's anus, how you gona recommend hayward and san leandro... unless you're tryna recommend southland mall for a nice selection of shoe stores and a chance of getting shanked.
dublin and pleasanton are so out of the way too.

You trippin bruh haywards a nice spot and san leandro is too once you get away from the oakland border. Best place to shop in east bay though is great mall in concord.

Not just yet bruh. I'm interning with athletics for about 6 months. Now after that I might just do that.
Unfortunately, no. I'm gon' let them live. The hipster movement isn't really my still but I'm cool with these two chicks who I met through my boy and they mad cool so they alright wit me for the most part. They can get a lil' "I know everything" at times but for the most part they ok.

fukk with the bars and lounges in downtown Oakland. I'm surprised no one has mentioned First Fridays in Downtown Oakland.

But San Jose and San Fran are the 2 best places to party..the great thing about san jose is you can walk from bar to bar, you dont have to worry about cabbing it...sf, there are some bar hopping areas however you may have to cab if you wanna hit up multiple places in one night
BART will get you to San Fran, but it closes around midnight, so if you plan on partying late, BART probably wont take you back to Berk.
If you want to go shopping you can visit Union Square in San Fran, Stoneridge mall in Pleasanton is pretty nice, same with Santana Row in San Jose (Rich shops like gucci, louis etc.)..Santana Row has a decent night life too, it's where most of the 49ers live and chill (Vernon Davis, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis etc)
If you lookin for outlets, Livermore just built some brand new premium outlets, i haven't peeped but i hear there are over 300 stores..Livermore is about a 40 minute drive from Berkeley..Great Mall in Milpitas has some decent priced stores as well

You shouldn't worry too much about the bad parts of the Bay. It's unlikely you'll end up in any of them, and if you have any common sense, you'll know when you're somewhere unsafe.
BART will get you anywhere in the Bay except the Peninsula & the South Bay. You'll also need to get familiar with the bus routes if you want to explore any of the cities in depth. Just be aware and careful of your surroundings at night with public transportation.

All my fellow bay breh in here...I didn't know we rolled this deep at the Coli. Puts a tear in my eye. Everyone seems to be on point with everything. I wasted a shytload of my 20s partying all around the bay and can point u to a specific bar/lounge/club based on what kinda female ur feeling. San Jo is coo breh. I stay downtown next to my school San Jose St. Lots of diversity here n the south bay and lots of Latinas if ur feeling that. I don't know too much about Berkeley, but if u want some quality Mexican food hit up the Fruitvale area of Oakland. Best Mexican food in Nor Cal. Ill had something that's missing. If u wanna c black girls at a club stay in Oakland. If u want white girls hit up walnut creeks nightlife. If u want latinas...come to San Jose. If u want Asians....go to SF. Breh SF is a place where u can spend a full day at during midweek and just wonder downtown and the piers. Hella females out and about and them jawns in there business attire downtown will make u weak in ur knees

Ain't shyt wrong with Southland Mall bruh. Hayward has a very low murder rate compared to Frisco. Don't shyt be going down in Hayward like that. And ain't shyt wrong with San Leandro either. San Leandro is not more dangerous than Berkeley is. As long as you don't walk around looking like a victim and watch yourself and make sure nobody is following you you'll be good. I forgot to tell the OP that Alameda is a great place to eat and shop aswell. Not much shopping besides the shopping center by the beach but Alameda is probably the safest city in the surrounding Oakland areas.
