Berkely is cool. Shattuck ave & telegraph is cool. A lot of erykah badu type chicks around UC Berkeley. A lot of laid back lounges and bars around there. But if u are actually a student at UC Berkeley u should be UC Berkely has some fine bytches. Hit up all the AKA parties forsure. Oakland isn't as bad as people make it out be (just stay away from the turfs) like Sobrante,Brookfield, Seminary,Ghostown, Acorns, etc

Jack London Square is cool and parts of downtown are cool too. Lake Merrit, Montclair, Rockridge and Peidmont are the nice parts of Oakland.

Use bart as much as u can it will save u gas, money & time

Salute for telling the truth about the town uptown and temescal are also nice spots in oakland. The rest of your post is good too the bart is a commuter train but i guess if youre a college student its a good alternative to a car.

Dope record stores if you into the vinyl..Rasputins, Amoeba, all on Telegraph. Everett and Jones BBQ right there on Broadway, Double D's got some good Q also. Its All Good Bakery got some bomb cakes n pies.

Thanks breh! I've been wanting to get out of the rural south since forever. I heard Richmond is a bad area. Is that area in Richmond an exception to the rule? I might just brave it cause I need that cut. I guess it's the BART and cable cars for me. I'm gon' miss my car though Liberal Berkeley chick

The closest barber shop is in emeryville/north Oakland on San Pablo called one 4 all. There used to be one closer to you but I think they shut it down. For food on a late nite tip there's a Thai restaurant by university and shattuck that stays open till like 2am. And there are a lot of restaurants in that area..it's called the gourmet ghetto and it's only like a 10 min walk from the campus.

Seems like most people itt are some zarks scared of Oakland.

this part of richmond is "gentrificated" and safe. you can take the 72M from el cerrito del norte bart station and it'll drop you off right in front of the shop. and yeah, those liberal girls are the best. it was the best dating experience of my life so far.
