i would have bet anything that we would be plagued with blackouts here in NYC because summer has been brutal and a a few million extra people are staying home but no problems for this far

Saw it creeping yesterday afternoon in the peninsula. Orange haze, sun red as hell. Woke up this morning with ash sprinkled on my car.

Record setting fires are basically a yearly occurrence now.

Woke up to the smell of smoke. Panicked and starting looking around, then I remembered we are dealing with these wild fires. Still blows my mind that we can smell smoke all the way in the East Bay.
