The Forest Where Hope Died
I didn't know anything about this. How long has it been out? Is Berkeley the only city its playin? The trailer is lookin clean.....:steviej:
Last Saturday was a one time last showing only. They had it at grand lake a month ago. I think the people who made the movie rented out the theater. shyt was so packed that people were sitting on the floor, on the steps, and standing by the door. Me and my friend got in for free cuz his female cousin is in the movie. Hella people were blazing in the theater too..Real good movie. It was better than I expected. Most of it was filmed in west Oakland, mostly the lower bottoms. The movie seemed super real, like this could actually happen...dope film, try to peep it if you can.

:ohhh:

Same EXACT atmosphere when I saw Menace when it first dropped :russ:

Yeah, right on bruh. I gotta go find where its still playin. If they just had a lil more bread for better promotion(radio spots, flyers/posters etc.) all types of folks would try and peep this out......

RIP to DREAM :to:

A real bay nikka and real vet in the graffiti game. Showed me love when i was just starting back in the day. Used to do those Tshirts at hilltop mall too. He also repped the Philippines which is under appreciated in bay area music history

:salute: To a real bay vet

DREAM was my extended peoples. My good friend VOGUE was great friends with him and they were both in TDK graffiti crew. Sh*t was bad when he was killed...

R.B.L. Posse - A Lesson to be Learned - YouTube

Cold World Hustlers - Cold Day in Hell - YouTube

Young Cellski - Livin In The Bay - YouTube

-was at a show at Oceanview Playground&they started bustin shots as soon as 2 Took said leave you dead,two to the head in Oceanview Park..,FOI was outside doing marches while they were buckin,saw some cat bank on JT,saw Cougnut perform afore he passed:mindblown:

i was the only cac there,an FOI cat called me "brotha":ohhh:

"And where I stayed it was jackas, the wrong part of town for some motherfukkin' crackas"

~ Cougnut on I.M.P. "Bang Bang" :dead:

:salute: Much respect to you for having the heart to be in Oceanview Park when sh!t was still mainey as f#ck in the View. :lawd:

The View was definitely not to be fukked with in the 90's on or off wax. These songs capture how grimey Randolph was when I was a youngsta. Thank God in heaven I survived the warzone. :whew:

:demonic:

I always like this version of "Livin' N The Bay" better because the beat made the song sound more serious than the album version:

@LunaticVillage415

@LePiffICuss

:salute: to the View. I have so many nyggaz from the View and fam. The 80s and 90s were sicc as fucc in the View. Every block from The Dolph, Head street, Victoria, Ramsell, OceanView Park, Lobos street MOB, Cain street, Broad & Capitol, Plymouth & broad were all deep as fucc. Nyggaz used to be hoopin in there all day. Every nygga from 200 block of Randolph had the letterman coats with 200 on the back. The midnight basketball games used to be off the hook. The whole View was in there strapped up. RIP to all my nyggaz that have passed away from the View :salute:
