DICE goes through what to expect in the specialists > classes update that's scheduled to release at the end of this month in this blog post.

Same shyt I said earlier in this thread. Overwatch style where classes are categories, and specialists roll up under different classes. Gadgets locked behind classes. Different proficiencies per class to give classes certain advantages over others in combat. All classes can use every weapon. Loadouts are class specific now. Classic BF era gadgets coming to 2042 era / All Out Warfare (ex. EOD bots, mortars, and claymores).

What’s new in Update 3.2?
Here is an overview of the changes and improvements in this update:
  • Play as the familiar Assault, Engineer, Recon and Support as we return to the Class system
  • Customize your class with Class Equipment, Class Gadgets and Weapon Proficiencies
    • EOD bots, tracer darts, javelins, claymores, etc from BC2 and BF3 are coming to BF2042 AOW
  • Map Rework: Breakaway
  • New Vault Weapons: M39 EMR, MTAR-21, PP-2000 (all BF3 era guns)
  • New weapon attachments: Suppressor, Long-range Scope and Thermal Scopes (cant see through smoke)
  • The Active Protection System (APS) becomes available for the M1A5 and T28
  • Below Radar arrives for Air Vehicles
  • Exclusive Rewards for Year 1 Pass, Gold and Ultimate owners (Season 1 and Season 2 rewards are free to people who bought the game)
  • +100 fixes and changes to the game including further improved mouse input (too long to list all of them).
    • Tons of meta changes to gadgets and equipment

    • Class Equipment: Med Pen
    • Class Gadgets: C5 Explosive, IBA Armor Plate, M18 Claymore, Smoke Launcher

    • Class Gadgets: AT Mine, C5 Explosive, EOD Bot, FM-148 Javelin, FXM-33 AA, Recoilless M5

I'll admit, it was a bizarre choice to limit which guns you could use whether or not you spawned in as a cop or a criminal, but I had fun with the game.
nah that made sense, cops buy guns from essentially the military or use the same system they use. A criminal could use a .38, .44 magnum, uzi, mac-10 or mac-90

I just can't get past the trash gunplay on consoles and the forced crossplay against PC brehs, atleast give us the option to use KB&M if they refuse to fix the aim assist.

Makes the game feel damn near unplayable.

I personally wouldn't have recommended this game until this current season. They fixed the gunplay to where its almost as fluid as MW2, they fixed most of the base maps, vehicle balancing is at a great place now, and they started bringing in all the cool shyt from way older BF games like rail guns and air burst rifles.

This game is still very poorly managed with how slow they are with getting content out for it being a live service game, but, multiple things can be true at once. And this is a good game at this stage and probably how it should've been at launch. It's only going up from here since they said they're dedicated to another couple years of support.

Nope, aim assist is still broken and the gunplay in general is still a massive downgrade compared to BF5.

Don't even bother breh.

Edit: They fixed KB&M inputs but didn't do shyt about the broken aim assist on consoles, shyts about to be even worse for controller users.

Yes.

Don't listen to people who don't play the game. This was patched in December with another fix (for recoil) early this month.

It's not COD level of responsiveness, but it's getting close.
