This thread proves why we can't ignore them.
No. These are grown ass adults. The fact that you feel we need to hold the hands of ppl in their 30s and 40s so they can do something as simple, easy and free as voting is proof that it’s a waste of time.

Invest in people who are already doing the bare minimum at the very least.

I’m not trolling.

Black ppl waste too much time trying to save the hood. Waste too many resources

Our focus needs to be on the working class and middle class, not people in the projects
The downside with this is that other groups swoop in and use the hood for whatever agendas they got. Just look at the whole "nikkas for Trump" movement that MAGA pulled or how Mexican gangs often use improvished black boys to be their drug runners.

So what? Further proving my point. They’re a lost cause. You guys are acting like there haven’t been tons of efforts put into the hood already. What exactly are you going to do that hasn’t been tried k the last 50 years ?

I get what you're saying but what happens to the hood will come back to effect you in some way. Also, your scenario only works out IF the black working class/middle class actually does something for once instead of just going with representation politics, yassss queen politics, and black faces in high places politics. Black middle class/working class havent been pulling their weight fr, thats usually where the grassroots supposed to come from. Instead the black middle class been acting like they're bourgeoisie. Instead of blaming the hood, blame the misleadership class for focusing on the wrong shyt white black boys reading/math scores kept cratering. For example, can you explain why black middle class like Kimberly Crenshaw blocked My Brothers Keeper from being a thing? Would've helped so many black boys

Low Voter turnout and the people that always make sure to vote are going to be republican (Older White Folks) hell I think even the total 2024 election turn out was lower than 2020 and 2016 and we elected our last governor in 2022 with only like 20% of the people registered to vote actually voting

It's always the same thing that happens when a black person loses their seat in BR. Split the black vote and watch voters lose interest before the runoff.

Ted James jumped in the race and gave Broome a tough race which got ugly. James half heartedly endorsed her but the damage was done. His supporters weren't going to go support her in full force.

One example. Which I don’t agree with. You still haven’t explained why we should keep pouring a disproportionate amount of resources into the hood instead of the black working and middle class

Because you are only as strong as your weakest link, and if you want to uplift the community you have to uplift the weak links. I mean we see from real world examples that this doesn't really work because this country has been doing that for the better part of a century and it hasn't exactly had the effects they probably thought it would.

Tbh, lately I've been reading about how China industrialized. Even went back as far as reading about how they turned the opium crisis around after the UK flooded their country with Opium during the opium wars. They didnt "give up" on the opium addicts. Instead they treated them and went after the opium smugglers (not even the distributors since it wasnt their fault either). Human capital is power, you shouldnt just discard human capital. Me you agree that the allocation of human capital should be efficient (focusing on working class/middle class), the thing we disagree on is discarding human capital (ignoring the hood and letting them fall victim to WS). One major mistake the oldheads made during the 90s was letting the state get rid of a lot of our human capital via the 1990s crime bill. The community been going downt the drain because the black middle class hasnt been honoring their side of the contract, so the humanc capital isnt being used efficiently. They been obsssed with yasssss politics and bouroigsie aspirations instead of meeting their end of the social contract.

China keeps winning because they use their human capital efficiently unlike the soviet union which got rid of their human capital.

The state of the black community right now is...sad...
Read the post I just made on human capital. Dr Claude Anderson could see what was coming from a mile away. Black Gen Z are just a result of the incopetence of the Gen X/young baby boomers black upper middle class. They shifted black politics from one focused on maximizing human capital (silent generation and older baby boomers) to one focused on the superficial, yassification politics, and Bourgois aspirations.

I knew it was a wrap when you had clowns on here who said that you gotta ignore divestors, even though those same divestors were laid up in spaces with neo nazis talking about lets genocide black men :dead: . Now those same divestors done recruited younger black folks into spreading propaganda about homeless black men to the point where its now socially acceptable to say that homeless black men should be locked up or murdered (go see the black radfems on twitter who El0ns friends are agreeing with).

Lets do a thought experiment. Lets take JD Vance for example. He's been harping on about how we gotta uplift rural poor/uneducated type white men. He hasnt directly said this, but if you read between the lines its what he's saying. This is also being echoed by many experts. Its why you keep seeing so many academics and experts sounding the alarm about "why so many rural uneducated (white) men are falling behind. Obviously they cant say white, so they just keep it neutral and say men.... but we know who its about. White society has realized that you cant just discard your human capital. They tried doing so when they outsourced everything to east Asia in exchange for more money for upper middle class whites and above. They now know that they made a mistake and want to reverse it. Literally no community discards their capital, they try to efficiently use their human capital. Black community has a human capital efficiency problem, and it comes from the top.
