...resisting arrest played no factor in him being shot to death? Really?:comeon:

The cop who shot the guy is partly responsible for this, and the guy who resisted arrest is partly responsible for this.

Like...if you know that there are monster cops out here that will kill you right where you lay on the ground, why would you resist arrest? I just don't get it. Sorry.

yuuuuuppp. ignored

Resist being arrested and then potentially be murdered by one of these cops, or comply, take the arrest, and live to fight another day? You're gonna have to make that choice.

I don't know what people don't get about this. Life is real. All the protests and all of the screaming and yelling and arguments and begging people to stop shooting you doesn't mean shyt when you're on the ground with a gun to one of your vital organs. These cops are not playing... They will kill you and then ask questions later. For real. You need to think through your actions.

Again, you gotta decide whether or not you wanna die over a few fcking dollars, man..

i understand what you're saying but our police should be held to a higher standard than your average person.

i mean yea if a fukkin goon who's tryna rob me has a gun pointed at me i'll comply and do whatever he says but when a cop who's supposed to be upholding the law has a gun pointed at me i would hope that he would pull the trigger as an absolute last measure if and only if i posed a threat.

the guy may have been resisting arrest but at worst he deserved a slight ass whooping... not a bullet to the head.

Yet...they'll tell us that we should respect what police officers do. My family has a few cops in it, I try to respect police (and I do for the most part), but stuff like this makes me angry...

I know there are good ones out there, but those "good" ones rarely ever speak up on the bad, they seemingly "protect" them. Then we get told that there's no bias in law enforcement, we're just imagining things smh playing the "race card" again

Don't forget the Bullshyt black Ministers that will ask Black people to forgive this shyt.

I agree with everything said here. But again, all that "higher standard" shyt means NOTHING when they've got you on the ground telling you to shut the fck up and you're actively resisting arrest. Each individual person has to think about what they'd do in that situation; you could die if you make the wrong choice. If you're cool with that, then cool, bro.

it certainly did, but do you believe that someone should be murdered for resisting arrest?

No, I do not believe that someone should be murdered for resisting arrest. But I know for a fact that you COULD be murdered for resisting arrest - we've seen this a lot as of late. And so, again, you need to ask yourself what you're gonna do in that situation. Is it worth it to come off like you're some billy-badass when some cop is telling you to shut the fck up or they'll shoot you...?

For me, it isn't.

The US can't go around anymore on their high horse while there are still injustice going on internally, at this point it has been shown again and again that DA's fail to charge these killers maybe the focus should be to find a way to make them more accountable

The fukked up part is that Black people are the ones that are their own worst enemies. Black people are the ones that keep electing these DA's that don't end this violence against Black people. Black people are the ones electing these Mayors that don't end this violence against Black people. It is those same mayors that hire the Irish street gang thugs as police chiefs and police officers and it is those Irish street gang thugs that kill Black people.

hmmm, I dont think most people that resist arrest are doing it to appear badass, i believe that it's just a reaction, something that is done with little to no thought. Many people think that you can talk to the police like normal people and will try to "reason" with them and then get spooked and tries to break free when the officer suddenly grabs them.

but other than that you're right, we've seen how this plays out(mainly for poor black men) over and over again
