What I've been disappointed in the past few years is the failure to link criticisms of police brutality during the Occupy protests, to the wave of activism surrounding Black Lives Matter. We need those types of linkages to have a real impact.

It's clear that being reactive and marching and even rioting after each event doesn't have much of an impact.

After reading up on his past crimes. I'm pretty sure homie isn't the type of cat the black community should put themselves behind as @Mowgli stated earlier. Unlike a Tamir Rice or John Crawford or even Trayvon Martin. which furthermore in my opinion should make it imperative that Black people police other Black people especially in urban areas where the policing of white cops on black citizens makes for dare I say a slave and slave master dynamic. I think it would lead to less skepticism of situations that play out like this.

But no one gets it worse than us. What you're saying would be the best way to go, but the reality is it would just lead to every group fighting for power. We all we got so we have to get our shyt together before including other groups.
