I'm born and raised in BR, and I'm seeing red.
There was absolutely no excuse to take things this far because the officer decided to go on a damn power trip.
Just think: This sole video stopped this brotha from being labeled another 'gangbanger in the streets'.
It could be anybody period
They do protect and serve certain groups. Many of the rules and institutions in America were never designed with Black people in mind. I don't know how much marching and protesting needs to happen before Black people to realize this.Seriously these people are suppose to protect and serve not intimidate and kill.
"I was pissed off" is not a valid excuse.Dude WAS RESISTING, which PISSED THE COP OFF and led to him being SHOT to death.
understood....but this "wake up" is only occurring when something that make major headlines happens . Afterwards we are right back to sleep. It's weird imo, after all this country has put us through, we still see them as our friend. In order for us to progress we gotta stop that. Otherwise we will continue to fall right back to sleepit sucks. Problem is people tend to wake up as they let go of their aggression, blind violence doesn't allow people to see clearly. If it can be done without aggression it is a great tool. A warrior can pull that off and warrior is a person who never gives up on anyone or anything.
We can do whatever outwardly but as individuals we will never get over whatever our fundamental obstacles are if we can't give up our aggression. When individuals wake up friends, family, and people around them catch the spark.
RIP to him
