typical marvel Stan twisting words

I expect the 15th movie in any cu to have a substantial fan base, especially another team up avengers movie

Ok, it has a substantial fan base, and BvS is still a disappointment...

What's the point?

BATMAN and SUPERMAN, the two most popular superheroes of all time only beat Civil War by 6 mil? :mjlol:

Civil War had Spider-Man, the character with 3 of the top 10 highest grossing comic book movies of all time

On top of.....

The Avengers that gross over a billion per movie they had in the past.

In the same movie. With the MCU reputation of characters that make over 500 million per movie.

12 characters of CA: CW over 3 in BvS (Wonder Woman included). The math doesn't add up.

We really gonna play these corny games?

Marvel is a world wide brand and iron man and cap are house hold names now.

Are we forgetting civil war also has fukking spider man who's just as up there as batman and superman? And like 10 other hero's?

How longer are you guys gonna play this lame card?

The MCU popularity has nothing to do with comic popularity and hasn't for a while.

In a world where deadpool made more than 90% of other comic book films how much longer are you guys gonna keep playing these lame excuses?

After spending the last few months suckling down every lame critic on Earth talking about how civil war was crushing buildings. It's what the 12th film in the franchise and it's practically an avengers movie bolstered by spider man's return no.matter how many :mjlol: you guys throw out its pathetic when you stans been beating your chest about this film and how it's gonna crush bvs.

The third Captain America movie (which sorta kinda but not really doubles as the third Avengers movie) took in a strong $75.2 million on Friday, with $25 million of that coming from Thursday night showings. This is fantastic, considering Winter Solider opened two years ago to $95 million, a figure Civil War will have passed by the time you read this. The slight problem comes from the Expectation Game. Civil War felt like it was a lock to be the fourth member of the $200 million opening club. It’s got all of the Avengers, earned terrific reviews, is following Winter Solider, which is considered one of the best movies in the Marvel Comic Universe, and it isn’t Batman v. Superman. There is literally nothing negative to report about the opening day box office of Civil War. It’s the eighth largest single day of all time. But in this era of the mega-opening, this sure feels like a letdown when you’re looking for it to duplicate the opening weekend of Age of Ultron.

Anyway, looking at Winter Soldier, that movie’s Friday was $37 million with $10.2 million of that from Thursday showings. It finished the opening weekend with $95 million. That’s a 2.56 multiplier when you include Thursday’s number and a 3.16 when you don’t. If Civil War duplicates that feat, it’s somewhere between $183 million and $192 million. I will remind you for the third time that Winter Solider opened to $95 million. Sequels, especially when going from the second movie to the third movie, aren’t supposed to earn nearly $100 million more than the previous film on opening weekend. Civil War’s opening weekend will be a very strong $185 million.

Lastly, we point and laugh at Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice one final time. Clinging to tenth place on Friday with $219,000, it now stands at $325.6 million. Let us count the days until Civil War crosses that figure.

Alright guys, Saturday Hold for "Civil War" is looking a little better. We are looking at 57-60 but it's still only on par with "BatsVSupes"

Fri-Sat (132 Million) BatsVSupes
Fri-Sat (132-135 Million) Civil War

Civil War's biggest challenge is the fact that today is Mother's Day which means a lot of people spending money on their Mother's (Resturants/Gifts) and Civil War isn't a Mother's Day movie. Reguadless I think this is huge for "BatsVSupes" to not only hang with Marvel but petty much keep pace with an "Avengers" movie with so many characters. This boads well for "Justice League" increasing over "BatsVSupes". Also people need to stop the spin. This was more of an Avengers Movie than Captain America. You can't have that many characters and seriously say it was Just a Captain America movie, lol. Now some in the media are still showing their bias as they aren't reporting on the fact "Civil War" lost opening day to BatsVSupes. But shockingly there are some people keeping it real and doing their jobs instead of trying to spin it:

What a Pathetic article. That last paragraph is embarrassing.

And why did you post this in 2 threads?

The fact that, according to the thread title, every comicbook movie that made more than BvS had a lower opening weekend than BvS makes these arguments irrelevant. Having the best opening then ending up with less money means people looked at your product and decided they didn't like it. How about looking at the drop off before celebrating?:jbhmm:
