Late to the part but finally watching this. Tony Hale voicing the Joker is nails on a chalkboard. Easily WOAT Joker voice actor. Who greenlit decision?

We need an animated adaptation of Hush or the War of Jokes and Riddles.

The movie was DC’s love letter to anime. Cool, but anime was never really my scene.

These elseworld stories have been neat but it’s time to get back to comic story adaptations. Still too many classic stories on the waiting list.

Like all the little tears and bubbles and shyt coming off the char at random times. I was watching Kung Fu Hustle (Chinese, right?) like that's cool and all but this is alien.

So same here. To Japanese people shyt makes perfect sense. Lots of tropes and callbacks and references to shyt we know nothing about. Like the monkey king stuff. That's huge over there. Mythology. Something like randomly having Iron Man, Cap, Hulk and Thor all hang out together. We understand Norse G-ds, Jeckyl/Hyde/Frankenstein, WWII comic heroes and so forth. So to have it all together seems reasonable to us

Someone who didn't know about MCU would watch Infinity War like.. Grimace got buff. Talking rac00n.. talking tree..

Anyways

Its kind of a demo reel of Anime shyt wrapped in Batman clothes. All the rogues are pegged to historical figures and all kinds of shyt. Mecha. Kaiju. Swords.

It was beautiful. And mad enagging

Story was kinda dumb. Why he ain't let so and so go ahead and deal with whatshisface and nem. Why he just walk away? That makes a certain char just look stupid. Since he was dead ass wrong..

But still

4/5 easy

This movie was all over the place.
A lot of great scenes that nailed the animation but the story line was just too chaotic for me.
It actually felt like a movie that was trying to be everything and do everything at once.
Towards the end I was laughing at how absurd the whole movie was.
I finished feeling like the movie was trash, but it did have a couple scenes that were done really well.

Batman in feudal Japan is a great concept the execution though... Trash.

shyt was a chore tired to watch it twice, feel asleep twice. Pacing was trash after the boat sceen
