I lived for Both Movies. I don't see it. "The Dark Knight" didn't have a bigger "Cultural Impact". That doesn't mean it didn't have Impact. But like people are saying, "Star Wars", "Matrix" etc they had a different "Cultural Impact". That was "Batman 89" for what it did for comic book/superhero films when it dropped. I'm sorry you can't be from the sidelines on it's impact, you had to be there. But thanks to video, you can watch:

lol, judged by whom i ask.

you?

me?

cuba gooding jr?

Judged by general consensus. Like I said TDK is movie that is revered, in terms of quality, by many people including top film critics, viewers and people who work around the industry. It's on multiple "all-time" lists and can be recognized as probably Nolan's prized piece of work, a director/ screenwriter of the highest order.

Heath Ledger was a better Joker.

Keaton was a better Bruce.

I like the way Batman the character was being portrayed more in the Tim Burton films. It resonated more with me when I read Batman comic books growing up.

The Bruce in those movies are not the same dude tho. Keaton's Bruce was more of a goofball like in TAS while Bale's Bruce was faking being the rich snob who didn't care for others so nobody would ever think he's Batman.

is that korra korra speak for "i was wrong, i backed myself into a corner, and i don't know how to respond???"

or did my question somehow go over your head.

what corner did i back myself into lmao

you are not making any sense, TDK is revered in terms of quality by the general concessions, that goes way beyond the movie just being popular because Batman 89 is not revered in terms in quality like TDK is

I'm a Batman fanatic so I love each & every film but be serious. Heath L brought a psychotic element to the Joker that not even the comics painted. He was so into the role he off'd himself. C'mon. Up till that point the Joker was too gimmick-y. HL made it so you actually bought into the FEAR of the Joker.
