To me, my board!
I think Dave's still in his grateful "Thanks for giving me my last match" mood
Really they're going to need to be around for a few years before being considered legitimate competition by many.
This. Not just wrestling but any new business. It will take 5+ years for them even start earning a profit. It's crazy to think they are competition just yet.
Only problem I see with this, is that WWE has set the bar so low at the moment. Back when IMPACT came up, WWE had bankable stars despite being a monopoly.This. 30+ years nah breah. LOLIt's also premature to say they are legitimate competition when they've only had one show and are still 2 months out from starting TV. Really they're going to need to be around for a few years before being considered legitimate competition by many. WWE's been around in one form or another for almost 70 years and has been so synomous with "wrestling" in America that "wrestling" has been called "WWF/WWE" for 30+ years now. Even in the most down times, and even when WCW was beating them, WWF was the name brand for wrestling in the United States, so it's going to take more than a few sold out shows to get people thinking it's more than an alternative.
30+ years nah breah. LOL
WCW and the southern wresslin scene never fukked with WWE like that.
There are still a lot of us, non kids, who grew up and fondly remember non WWF cartoon shyt.
You seem to be confusing a the NYC's area view of wrestling with the whole US
