WWE hates for people to become successes without them. Even with Rock the first few films he did we co-produced by Vince, ironically once he started doing films without the co-production, they let his contract go out.
Batista & Ronda is such an odd pairing, but getting to revisit Batista best feud in his career against Triple H after he walks out on Evolution makes more sense than whatever we got out of this stupid HHH/Angle storyline,

He doesn’t ever have to be. Right at this moment Batista has more clout and Hollywood relevance than anyone in the WWE not named Cena and maybe Rousey.y'all make it sound like he's some a-lister at this point
He doesn’t need them. What can this company do for him that he can’t do outside of it at this point? Plus, no one is clamoring for Batista to come back and more younger people will watch him next month in the Avengers and subsequent promotional material than they would if he had another WWE run.
If this story is true, I think it’s dumb for him to ever go back when, out of his own mouth, they keep dissing him (unless he has some hole in his heart that only one final match with HHH will fill).

Seriously asking, what’s the last big money angle they got right from start to finish?
