That beer belly was due to illness tho. And he began to really suffer injuries when he was like 21 and still in great shape. Those plagued him for years and never let him truly reach his potential. IMO he should've been the GOAT but unfortunately... When he was fit we clearly saw he was above his peers, save for maybe Zidane (but Ronaldo>> still)
You can be a good soccer dribbler and make it to the pros even if you suck at scoring.
In basketball having handles is meaningless if you cant score or block shots.
Soccer is clearly different as a sport from B-Ball. Soccer has more positions and is a different game altogether. You can't really expect from a center back to score goals nor can you expect your striker to defend.
In basketball, all the players defend/attack, unlike soccer. Even in basketball, you get guys that are celebrated and they can't even score like that.
Also, lots of great dribblers in soccer can't make it to the pros. You're making it seem as if clubs are rushing to sign these street dribblers.

Basketball and Volleyball are my favorite sports but ive always loved soccer too growing up. The skill level needed to do some of the dribbles in soccer is hands down more difficult than that of basketball. Noone will dispute that it's far easier to control something with your hands than it is with your feet
