Is it true there were some 'fans' rooting against them in the stadium?

The stadium was rocking with them. There were Koreans/Japanese who were cheering for the Koreans obviously. Hell the JRW parents werent even that loud the whole tourney and stands were loud when the boys finally stated to get hits towards the end of the game. JRW got a lot of love during the tourny, only Mo'ne got more.

i don't get why a whole country plays a city thou

Korea is a collection of the best players in the country

that's why these international teams stay winning
Those countries dont have the infrastructure like we do. Every dirt town in murica plays little league, doubt that's the case internationally since itd not their native game.

It does give them an advantage tho.

is that true?

they refer to the south korean team as the seoul team though.

i always figured that the foreign teams won tournaments in their own country to advance to the international stage.

i'm not exactly sure how it works but seoul is a city of 12 million

chi is around 2.715 million even if they got all the best kids from chicago they win with ease instead a small team from the south side has to play a team from seoul doesn't seem exactly fair

Pretty sure that's how it works, I doubt countries are spending the money to bring little leaguers across the country together.

yeah but you're assuming that they collect kids from the entire city.

seoul is divided up into a lot of different sections just like any other major city. for all we know, this could be the gangnam team :manny:

if it works the way you're describing though, i agree that it's a big advantage for the foreign teams.
