These threads are so ridiculous :liottahaha:

Why you got a vendetta against baseball :why: :dwillhuh: :what:

MLB Network ratings are at an all-time high. Teams are giving away more expensive contracts than in any other sport. TV deals are making buckoo bucks. Baseball is excelling, far from dying.

Baseball is really dying brehs
Lets panic!!!!
dismay.gif

But back on topic

A lil business lesson for you OP

Imagine
Even my shytty Indians who are averaging only 15,000 a game
When calculating the avg. cost to attend a baseball game
27.93
Then multiply that by 81 home games
That's damn near 34 million alone off ticket sales
Then factor in parking
Merchandising
And sports biggest kicker
The TV Deals
The Indians profited 192 million last year vs a 101 million dollar roster
and THEY ARE A SMALL MARKET TEAM WITH THE LEAGUES WORST ATTENDANCE

Hey OP

Do some research next-time breh

The top 10 attendance seasons have all occurred in the last decade.

Baseball is going pretty great.

There may be a local TV money bubble, and the ugly situation in Cali isn't good, but the sport is very healthy.
What are rockies attendance looking like?, I was at the home opener shyt was a party.

they have 162 of these games to bring in revenue but yeah its in a down cycle...had a hell of a run in the 90's and early 2000's fell off around mid 2000's

my long lost brother :obama:

baseball is dying

Houston drawing 0.0 ratings
how about the jays yesterday playig in front of 15,000 :mjlol:

how about home runs down
how about batting average overall the lowest it has been in 50 gawt damn years.

baseball will be mls status in the coming years, an older demographic that is dying off, people are ditching cable by the boatloads.

I saw this thread and was about to seek your counsel before I saw you had replied already :lupe:

I was worried for a moment :lupe:

Oakland attendance doing better than previous years it seems

and Giants has been packed before the world series (bonds chasing records) and then after the world series the owner looked at them new ticket pricing he could rape us with like :jawalrus:

Even to sit in the nose bleeds in AT&T park cost a lot right now :sadcam:

2 years ago or so I was right there saying baseball is dying and maybe in most parts of the country it is, but its alive as fukk in the bay right now (Oakland been making play off runs and of course Giants got 2 world series wins in recent years)

Playoffs going on and the games too expensive for it to be packed every night. Big market teams eating good still. Top ten teams aren't surprising except for Colorado.
