Ruth didn't have to do that, had very little to gain from it and still did it and got taunted for doing it at the time.

just cause the numbers from those games didn't end up on official stat sheets doesn't mean they don't matter or were "bullshyt" as you put it

everything I've posted showed he'd be more than willing to play against Black baseball players

and he was a great hitter...he'd hit against most pitchers

either way, as for the thread question...Ruth had no hand in who he played against...Bonds had all the choice in his PED use...I don't judge either however, technically speaking, only one guy in this dumb ass scenario made an active choice to get better numbers

I mean the assumption that his resume would be lesser playing against Black players doesn't have any strong evidence to back it

it could be true and he could've kept on being the same player he was...no way to tell

same thing with Bonds...he was already on track to the HOF with his career pre-juice

if they're gonna let David Ortiz in who was named in that report...then everyone else who hasn't failed a test should be in too

He did em just cuz he was in his feelings. He spent all those years lying to himself about whether he wanted the adulation he spent so many years claiming he didn't care about. Not that I agree with it, but at least I can sympathize with someone doing roids to stay in the league or to get one more paycheck. He did it out of envy which shoulda been beneath him.

He didn't see any value in being the guy who didn't need PED's to be great. Now if you're great and PED free you get praised that much more.
