Since the union movement died since Reagan, the average American has gotten dumber.

You have teachers, athlete, and other unions wanting to get their fair share being viewed as a BAD thing because the rich has trained Americans to be idiots.

Look at Barkley’s comments and the dumb shyt said in this thread. Its a case study on American stupidity.

No. Owners are greedy. There’s nothing greedy about wanting your fair share to overall revenue as a worker. Owners are greedy and you do not have the ability or capacity to have that focus.
Everybody is greedy. So the players deserve their "share" when only a handful of teams actually pull their own weight? When it's only like 3 box office players in the league. It's the owners who are the greedy ones.

* I compared how having a union ensured having a fair market salary

* I compared how the removal of unions have led to CEOs seeing their salaries since 1980 increase over 1070% while the average American salary increased 7%

* I compared how the NBA keeping their unions make sure their salaries stayed within the fiar market share of what the overall businesses is bringing in

* I said the reactions of Americans has gotten dumber because they are fighting on behalf of rich corporations, who are the ones who are screwing them, not the workers

You on the other hand, twisted and turned what I said into comparing ACTUAL SALARIES of American athletes to the average, American worker salary because you’re dumb.

Im not dumb. I didnt do what you just did.

My Pops Forever RIP
It's gonna be just like these concerts getting cancelled because the prices are too high

Simple supply and demand. Until these arenas start showing up quarter and half empty then nothing changes. There's going to be a limit eventually. Even with the NFL eventually
Sports are like cigarettes in this country. When those companies know they own you, there's little you as the consumer can do about it, Even sports talk hosts of bad teams admit they're suckers for sticking around.

The average American can no longer afford to take care of their families and the reason is shown in this graph .

In 1980 American salaries kept pacw with CEO salary with a difference of 11%. Now the difference is 1070% thanks to Regan’s union busting.

You are mad at NBA players and their union for keeping pace with 1980s differences as if THEY ARE WRONG FOR DOING so because…You are a trained and stupid American taught by your corporate overlords that it’s somebody else, not them

The product is trash because they’re actively telling fans we’re tanking. The last time they were in the playoffs in 2018 they were in the top half of league attendance. People had no problem paying that price when they were entertained because.
Top half=/=filled

And again, no one goes to their games.
Completely irrelevant to what I wrote and what you were arguing …I didn’t say most of the revenue came from attendance anyways.
You’ve been mentioning attendance but now it’s irrelevant. My post said “corporate benefactors,” and you decided to dismiss that and talk attendance. Stay on a topic.

The point is that fans are addicted to the sport based on the data on their spending and your made up “breaking point” that you and the c00n you’re parroting to shyt on black NBA players isn’t reflected in recent consumer behavior or buying patterns which is why you can’t even define what that breaking point looks like in any quantitative way :dead: It’s just “trust me bro” which is how you ended up in here in lock step with a c00n that’s lying to your face.
Barkley said greedy players and owners. I included him as well to agree that he ain’t separate. Though he is 100% self-effacing in his statement, his point is legit about pricing people out.

And this isn’t a vibes thing. Inflation is the highest it’s been since the 70s. Wages aren’t going up with inflation. There is a point where people won’t be able to afford it. I’m not sure why you are defending what’s happening, but party on.

90% attendance =/= "nobody goes to the games" you're reducing yourself to lying about simple things that are easily verifiable and it looks silly

I didn't say attendance was irrelevant the record breaking attendance actauly rind quite contrary to the made up bullshyt you're parroting from Barkley

What I said however is that you mentioning the league making some money elsewhere is irrelevant and I said that corporate benefactors aren't packing 70k seat stadiums... I see that you're going to go down the embarrassing lying route in this reply round as you clearly have no other competent retorts left to deploy
Barkley said greedy players and owners. I included him as well to agree that he ain’t separate. Though he is 100% self-effacing in his statement, his point is legit about pricing people out.
Barkley has no room to speak on anyone's greed as his cost of existence in the broadcasting space directly contributes to what he's ostensibly soap boxing over...it's an idiotic display of hypocrisy...additionally neither you nor Charles have provided or attempted to provide any actual data on this TV DEAL pricing anyone out.... as usual you're reduced to babble when the facts escape you
And this isn’t a vibes thing. Inflation is the highest it’s been since the 70s. Wages aren’t going up with inflation. There is a point where people won’t be able to afford it. I’m not sure why you are defending what’s happening, but party on.
You're now rambling about workers wage depression regarding the NBA :russ:nobody cares about your personal macro economics "vibes" theory what the hell are you even talking about dog... You're completely all over the place and throwing anything at the wall to concot these replies at this point instead of simply supporting any point that you've presented with simple factual information

Again I'll ask you can you please respond to the statement with a actual quantitative information or no? It should be very simple...if you can't let's all just admit that you were lead astray following behind a lying fat c00n :dead:

I'll wait.

Shaq too. And SAS. Most of the people covering the NBA, whether it's ESPN or TNT, genuinely despise the product and actively denigrate it. Zero chance Stern would have allowed this shyt to fester like this. Silver has no balls.
Bill Simmons and Ryen Rusillo also.

If you really think about it. The most influential voices covering the NBA, actively hate the players.

He comes across as a very bitter person who is angry about the new players success and income.

Charles Barkely is right about pricing out alot of NBA fans

Not sure if the stadiums do that, but they should be at least allocating 10-15% of the available seats to be low priced. Harder to do that with parking, food/drinks, and merchandise. But at least with ticket prices they can cut some fans some slack
The Falcons have have figured out a way to make food affordable. Multiple food and drink items for like $3-$5 if you want something basic like a hot dog, hamburger, nachos, etc.

Even that super fan section only costs ~$1200 for the entire season with no PSL. They just make it general admin though. And it comes with perks like free merch, access to fan parties and what not.

Simmons especially with his bullshyt "the analytics and stats matter...unless I personally like the player" bullshyt.

I'd also add in the climate of former players pimping podcasts, deliberately attempting to go viral by saying insane shyt. It's like they all conspired to ruin this shyt, and then they all collectively started pumping gambling content at the same time. Makes you think..
