I got a Dominican Barber now. I give him 40 all in.
A cut 4x a month, not even women get their hair done that muchThats $120 a month. We damn near in women hair upkeep pricesq
Its not the frequency, its the price for going to the salon once. I know. My girl keeps it natural, hair wash, oils, trim split ends. Just south of $200 a month.A cut 4x a month, not even women get their hair done that much
I've been cutting my own hair since HS. I did it mostly by the sound of the clippers when doing a tight fade. So long as you keep the speed of the clippers up and down motion you can hear how much you are taking off. After that I would hold a mirror with one hand and clean it up with the other hand holding the clippers. Shout out to the medicine cabinet mirror as well. It's not easy to cut your own hair. Especially if you like a tight fade.
Perhaps a different style will work if you decide to buy some clippers.
My barber raised his prices for the first time after covid. From $15 to $20. Which seems more than reasonable to me and well below the young nikka barbers around the way.
But the thing I'm wondering...any of you guys in Atlanta? How the fukk do these guys be charging $100 for a cut that's 40 minutes. That doesn't seem sustainable, financially.
