I stopped going to barbers when they started charging $20.

Now I cut my own hair and walk around looking like this

It's not easy to cut your own hair. Especially if you like a tight fade.

Perhaps a different style will work if you decide to buy some clippers.
I've been cutting my own hair since HS. I did it mostly by the sound of the clippers when doing a tight fade. So long as you keep the speed of the clippers up and down motion you can hear how much you are taking off. After that I would hold a mirror with one hand and clean it up with the other hand holding the clippers. Shout out to the medicine cabinet mirror as well.

My barber raised his prices for the first time after covid. From $15 to $20. Which seems more than reasonable to me and well below the young nikka barbers around the way.

But the thing I'm wondering...any of you guys in Atlanta? How the fukk do these guys be charging $100 for a cut that's 40 minutes. That doesn't seem sustainable, financially.

Me and him got the exact same hair except I don't have the grey.

When I moved back to Africa I was :wtf:
At the price of haircuts. I keep saying Brehs won't understand price parity and the power of the dollar until you out of the country.

Right now I can get a haircut for 3 dollars and they'll have someone wash my hair and some lady will massage my scalp. I thought I was ripping these folks off. Got a haircut every time I was bored. It didnt hurt the pockets at all. I was :ahh: in those shops. Got me a great barber now and dreads so I just do lineups, beard etc
Its still cheap.

ATL is scammer central. Those barbers be the same ones that want to pop bottles and flash money to hoes at the expense of their customers.

I accidentally booked on the wrong day and immediately canceled the appointment. The barber still charged me the cancelation fee. I sent him a message letting him know it was an accident. I hope he enjoyed that bread because he'll never see my face again.
