Exactly what I thought, you don't know what the fukk is up and just jumped into the conversation with some fake ass Coli outrage. Go back to JBO and let grown folks talk in here.

Just more alarmist nonsense brought to you by Van Jones aka @ThreeLetterAgency . Bannon is just a bearded fat moron. Also a white supremacist.

He never graduated with honors from Harvard, has a masters in natl. security, was a naval officer and worked in the Pentagon. He's just a dummy breh.

I think you misunderstand my question. I'm not questioning the relevance. People on both sides of the aisle including McCain are shyttign on this move. I want someone to give me some background. This isn't "alarmist" if people in the know are saying it's a :trash:appointment

"Both sides of the aisle"

There are no two sides of the aisle. The political establishment as a whole---Dems and Repubs---are in complete collusion with each other. For example, the establishment neocon fakkits like McCain will side with neocons like Hillary but because one supports abortion and the other doesn't, that doesn't make them any different.

They're freaking out because new outsider blood is on the NSC, and now there's phony outrage about him being a "nazi" and "alt-right" honey-potting.

I said alarmist because @ThreeLetterAgency is clearly a paid surrogate for someone. His thread-making volume, the constantly freaking out and pretending to be outraged tone in which he posts—classic shilling trademark.

This is going to end so bad it is not funny. Jesus Christ we are fukked.
I see the headlines about war but I just can't wrap my mind around that shyt.

I mean, can y'all really imagine us in all out war against China and/or Iran? Would battles take place on US homeland?

Iran and China aren't a group of radicals hiding out in the mountains. They're not just going to wait for us to bring the fight to them if this really goes down.

I'm doubtful about a real war breaking out.... Please let me be right.
We have to wait and see what Trump does with the Iran deal. If he scraps it Iran will restart their nuclear program and he said he would stop it. So that means war.

Nothing is going to happen.

Russia and China rarely do anything without each other these days. And they were the ones who pushed the Iran Deal in the first place.

Russia and China are natural rivals and a scenario in which Trump-led American FP aligns closer with the former against the latter is not unthinkable.

Nah.

Koch GOTV machine turned Trump voters, aired ads against Hillary, will keep Trump in power via 2018 midterms. While Democrats raise a few million for grassroots, Koch's Americans for Prosperity alone had over 600+ staff doing field/GOTV work in 2016.

They're not libertarian, they just want tax cuts & deregulation and will support any authoritarian Republican if they back that agenda. Big business will also spend ungodly amounts of money to keep Trump allies in 2018 midterms, they want same agenda + biz friendly judges.

Trump's war on civil liberties will be financed and politically supported by the media's favorite billionaire "libertarians"

I was thinking the same thing when I saw "libertarian" Peter Thiel signing on with Team Trump. Dude just wants the FDA to reduce regs on biotech and anti-aging and go to Mars. Even Ron Paul wasn't touching Trump.

Can someone explain the relevance of this? I'm assuming this is because Trump is crossing the line between political positions and apolitical positions. Also would like some history on the whole Axelrod/Gibbs thing

The bigger deal besides Bannon being on NSC is that he is a permanent member while the Joint Chiefs head (top ranking military) and Director of National Intelligence are out and only in by invitation only. Bannon is not only on NSC, he can call shots behind the back of the military and national security establishment (minus SecDef). Axelrod and Gibbs, deserving or not, did not displace anyone and had little power.

Russia and China are natural rivals and a scenario in which Trump-led American FP aligns closer with the former against the latter is not unthinkable.

Not happening.

Since 1991, Russia and China have slowly strengthened their strategic relationship. China aims to get everything it needs from Russia through trade. Everything Russia needs such as the gaps in its technology and investment requirements can be met by China. China depends on critical Russian technology for its military.

Its a marriage made in heaven and it accelerated because the West acted provocatively and threatened both Russia and China. NATO expansion and the Pivot to Asia are just two examples.

This alliance checkmates all the attempts at encircling both China and Russia and the nightmare of Sir Halford Makinder who clearly represented the British empires strategy of preventing such a union in Eurasia.

The US inherited Britain's role as a maritime power and they dropped the ball when they created conditions that allowed this alliance to happen.

Trump has nothing to give Russia. The sanctions might have been one of the best things to happen to Russia in terms of diversifying their economy. According to estimates, the economy will be back to growth this year after the recession. Pro-western oligarchs who are allowed to own some media in Russia are hurt by sanctions and are upset. The average person on the street has faced hardship, but they have been told that its due to sanctions so they are rallying behind the flag.
The Russian government does not want sanctions lifted for another few years, and they will drag their feet on their own counter sanctions
because it keeps out price dumping of agricultural products from the EU. Russian agriculture exports have boomed during the sanctions.

The US has weak cards to play, there's a short term window of technological superiority another 10 years max. The Chinese are getting aggressive because they know they can fight right now but it will be too costly. In the early 2000's a war would have been a cakewalk at sea and air for the USA just like the 1991 Gulf War.

Today China can hurt the US bad, probably wipe out 2/3 of the pacific fleet for horrendous losses.

The Russians talk more, the Chinese barely talk much. Putin remarked a month ago of the relationship between the two countries being much more than strategic.

No matter what Trump or Bannon think, they aren't breaking up the marriage of Moscow and Beijing. And the US isn't going to war with Iran without those two along with other countries such as India, Turkey, and South Korea throwing a fit due to trade relations.

Just about "new blood"? Why is the Head of Joint Chiefs and DNI attendance now discretionary? No one said Bannon was a dummy, he seems highly driven and intelligent. I never said he didn't have a clue either---my fear is he very much has a clue but in a devious fashion. However if you don't think he is almost off the cliff at the right end of the spectrum you need to do a bit more digging...

Uh, yes. That's primarily why. The fact anyone is shocked that a guy that has openly said "fukk the political establishment" is drawing ire from said establishment should come at no shock.

Oh no he's a civic nationalist! The horror!

If we declare war on Iran or Syria during this administration I'll eat my words, but until then, people need to quit freaking out and buying into the MSM alarmist hysteria that's been propagated en masse lately.

yea..

and even overlooking all of that. That use China against Russia/vice versa card was used back in the 60s-70s. It wouldn't work again.
