I was surprised at how euphoric the fact that they got charged made me fail. Didn't realize how little faith I had in situations like this. Hopefully this isn't a set up for a let down.

This aint Freguson breh. Weve said this time and time again. Only one cop is black and she has the lesser of all the charges. This isn't racist ass Florida either. The only witness in the Trayvon/Zimmerman case was Zimmerman. We got all the proof on video here. I kno all those charges wont stick and these cops might not do much jail time if any but a guilty verdict is a huge success for us. Itll be history

Ferguson was a majority black city as well, the jury was mixed, and I'm sure this one will be too. In the Zimmerman case, Zimmerman wasn't the only witness, the kid walking his dog was one of the key witnesses. And what "proof" on video? He appeared limp as they were talking him to the van, but according to some he was simply being uncooperative and wasn't injured at the time. ...then supposedly, you have a second arrestee stating that he was "attempting to injure himself" (not sure how true that actually is...) but either way, like I said, I think that they may have overshot the charges unless they have access to some sort of incriminating info that the rest of us aren't. I don't see the DA being able to prove intent beyond a reasonable doubt on a murder charge allegedly caused by a cop neglecting to strap him into a seatbelt lol.

You may get a negligent homicide charge to stick on someone based on his request for medical attention....and even that's a big maybe.

Like I said, I think you'll get departmental discipline more than anything, but I think this right now is done more so to appease the citizens.

Glad to see the thread still staying progressive. I've been out the past few days; we organized two marches and had one today where we stormed 2 university buildings and issued demands for police commission to be held by community members. bytch ass cops turned on their lights to try and scare the crowd, but nobody left. This is a historical moment and we will continue to use it to make real sustainable progress and change to this system. Keep fighting, everyone
