Ballmer says Microsoft Surface RT sales off to "Slightly better than poor" start

All them shyts gonna be running windows, M$ don't give a fukk. They're first and foremost a software company, but they priced themselves out of the market with the Surface RT. Which begs to question whether or not they did it on purpose. I mean the hardware of the Pro i can understand the the RT version is using 1 year old tablet parts. They could easily lower the price by another $100-150 and still profit.

They did it on purpose these tablet cost $271to make

My bad Tegra 3 whatever Nvidia's latest ARM chipset is what the RT is using. It gets kind of jerky though but its getting better over time ARM drivers need to mature a little bit more. Next gen 8 blue should be ALOT better.

True, honestly none of this really matters till next spring when the Haswell and new ARM chipsets hit on these devices. I see these as test products for now honestly but that's just me.

Just something i noticed... that article is three sentences with a whole lot of negative adjectives describing Windows RT, and the website is known for being Apple shills. It's depressing to see people paying any mind to this bullshyt blog.

I don't even give a fukk what they're writing about, but it's all right there in their history - "WE ARE MACFAGS AND LITERALLY CAN NOT STOP SUCKING COCK."

People don't understand that the Surface distribution model is so small compared to everything else. MS doesn't have the manufacturing to produce crazy mass quantities they only expect to make 3 - 4 million units.

Yeah, I look at the RT version of the surface kinda like what Apple does with AppleTV; just a hobby. When you purchase it they're basically making a profit from you beta testing their product. If you don't they don't give a fukk. Plus MS got all the other OEMs pushing windows 8 with their new hardware it practically sells itself. I'll pick up one of these when they start shipping them with A15 Chips and are =<$400, the GPUs in current Android/MS tablets is ass when compared to what Apple is offering.

I'm saying for $500 I can get waaaaay better hardware, for $500 I can also get 2 32GB Nexus 7s which would make great christmas gifts, and it's basically the same hardware in/as the surface. And please don't act like the majority of people that buy tablets buy them for productivity purposes. Your whole MS office angle is flawed.
