Microsoft's been holding Surface for Windows RT sales figures close to its chest so far, but CEO Steve Ballmer has allowed in an interview with Le Parisien that the much ballyhooed tablet is off to a "modest" start. The bombastic exec gave that appraisal while touting the imminent arrival of the tab's higher-powered sibling, Surface for Windows 8 Pro, though he didn't elaborate further. After all the cake it's no doubt lavished marketing the slate, we'll have to see if the software giant finds the hardware game tough to swallow.

Sorry man its not a tablet its no where close to an iPad or Android tablet its a PC. RT is more of a web PC but its still a PC.

Carriers get in the way. Once they get a Surface Phone out bundle deals will be easier.

Lol, it doesn't matter what you think it is or what Microsoft is pushing it as. The only thing that's gonna matter to the 15 Million mofos that buy iPads every quarter is "Why should I spend $500 on this shyt when i can get an iPad for the same price or an iPad mini for $329?"

As long the Surface brand is behind it. People don't seem to understand new brands take time, new OS take time, cant expect people to switch right away.

Surface Pro will change the game. I'm replacing all Dell Latitudes at work with Surface Pro PC's.

Surface RT is good for students, families
Surface PRO good for work and tech enthusiast
Xbox Surface is for the gamer
Surface Phone is for everybody

People will realize that the Surface PRO is not a tablet. Can you run Office and multitask on a iPad Mini? Does it come with a keyboard can you produce do work on it?

What's the point of an iPad when I cant produce or create? I can spend a 100$ extra and get a Surface that can do most of that.
