Dwight Howard
Superstar
You don't bet on negatives especially when the trend is upwardsAnd if he gets worse or injured, it goes down.

And if he falls off this year, his value decreases as well.If D'Lo breaks out next year, his value increases..thus you get a better return

Scroll up. My original post was that if they decided to trade him and no longer wanted to have him on the squad, and the response they got from teams was that they could not even get a lottery pick for him, and a late first was the best they could do, then why do they have to wait. He responded by saying Russ could get better and his value could increase, and my response is that it could decrease as well. So all that other stuff you said doesn't really relate to my original point. Is there any any real reasons other than serious injury why this would happen?
And if that's the case we might as well trade all our young players right now because there's a chance they might fall off or get hurt. As a matter of fact, why even try if there's a chance someone doesnt develop of falls off
His first and second year numbers are basically identical besides an extra 1.5 assists. That's a plateau, not an upwards trend. You don't bet on negatives especially when the trend is upwards

Mitch wouldn't have gone out like this
Let's be 100. You're hate of D'lo has nothing to do with basketball and i respect that. Out of all the D'lo haters I respect you the most because your consistent and it's all apart of the overarching OSU Michigan beef. But trying to use the numbers to justify trading D'lo isn't gonna work. For his age, position, and minutes on court, he was an above average prospect by any stat or metric. Maybe not a superstar but he was no bustHis first and second year numbers are basically identical besides an extra 1.5 assists. That's a plateau, not an upwards trend.
Agreed. @Regular_P wants to use numbers now and cite minor knee injuries. Well we could use Ingram as an example of a player who was objectively bad in his rookie year. There is little to no precedent for a player who's stats were as bad as his rookie season stats were to turn in to a star. Not to mention he has already missed games for knee issues as well. But he's untouchable... and I don't disagree.Let's be 100. You're hate of D'lo has nothing to do with basketball and i respect that. So are we sure we are taking Lonzo? Does our front office think he fits our culture?
There is a lot of leaks and smoke around him as well. Conditioning and effort in workouts, getting outplayed by Fox in the tourney, off-court distractions, etc.
We sure have heard a lot of raving feedback about Fultz, Jackson, Smith and Fox workouts. Nothing positive about Lonzo's....
Last week we tried to move up to take Fultz.
And last night we tried to move back...
