Trading Clarkson and/or Randle would really hurt the team if we don’t get useful players in return (particularly guards). If the team is still competitive at the trade deadline then Magic and Pelinka will have some extremely tough decisions.
However, stretching Deng would be a tough pill to swallow because his salary will be dead money on the cap for 5 years. $5-7M is near mid level salary. If we are trying to build a contender then every $ will count. Furthermore, I know Deng is a good guy but I worry about having him in the locker room for months when he publicly has said he doesn’t want to be there.

Last year if we went down by 15 we were done. Hell, any of the last 3 years that's pretty much true. we can actually come back via defense now and it feels so fukking good.

Julius with 16/12 in 21 min. Not giving him more PT is becoming inexcusable at this point. He's shown massive improvement and is the best defender on the squad right now. Its gonna suck when trade dude for salary dump and still whiff out on FA"s. The botched D'Lo situation has made me lose faith in this organization, in that they wont fukk this up

Randle consistently shyts the bed defensively with too many minutes and no he isnt our best defender because he still makes way too many IQ mistakes(like closing out hard on a bum like Theis and giving him a wide open dunk.
Ingram is our best defender at that. Keep randle in his role, he's actually playing well.
Also the DLo situation netted us Kuzma who is a much better fit. DLo would ruin our defense.

The randle playing good cause limited mimites is a myth at best. He's been our best defender easily.
