That's two more than Herbert and he's just consistently played well in the postseason, even in defeat...

Tampa was supposed to crater, Baker was on a 1-year deal as a bridge QB. Instead, this mf turned into an elite QB who won his division twice...

He's significantly more resilient than Herbert. I dont know that I'd give Herbert much of an edge on athleticism, Baker is fast and fearless, too. He extends plays and is pretty damn accurate...

I want the guy who shows up in the big games. That guy isnt Herbert...

Easily Baker. Justin Herbert is Just A Guy 🤣...
Baker made the playoffs because his division is absolute :trash:

Swap Herbert and Baker, the BUCS still make the playoffs and I don't think the Chargers make it.

I'm not trying to defend Herbert either, I just wanna see what he can do with some talent at WR.

Idk but it’s closer than people will say. Herbert is more physically talented/ better arm.
Baker has a better touch on his throws and eats up zone defenses and puts up big numbers. I really like how Baker has played on the Bucs. I lean towards Herbert tho
I think Nick Wright said the other day that Herbert would be elite if he had Baker's intangibles to go with his own phyisical talent.

Herbert is the most overrated QB in the league. Yall say we crowned Stroud and Daniels too early, Herbert has folded in big moments multiple times and still gets to be considered elite. I've seen him miss open receivers in big moments too many times to say his shortfalls are due to coaching or his weapons. When he comes up short again this time next year, I wonder what the excuse will be then :camby: :camby: :camby: :camby: :camby:

Baker because at least I know what I have and don't have to fool myself into wanting more. The intangibles, scar tissue, etc are all a bonus.

The "I need to see Herbo with WRs/weapons" argument feels flat when he had Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler all at the same time at their best. Supporting cast and OC have nothing to do with his deep ball accuracy getting worse and worse the further we get from his rookie year and the way he malfunctions like a robot getting water poured on it when things get tight.

I understand, but with young weapons and a new coach, I’m willing to give Herbert two more years to break out. If things don’t turn around by year three under Harbaugh, then it’s likely not going to happen. Herbert was actually looking very good last 6-7 games of the season, but yes he fell apart in the playoff.

Remember, we wrote Mayfield off and labeled him a bust. Yet, in the right situation, Mayfield has shown he can be a long-term starter in this league. Not many believed he could bounce back and become a solid pro after his struggles.

if i'm building a team, I would still pick Herbert due to the upside.

You mean when he set passing records and his defense and coach sabotaged the offense? You dudes lose all logic with that kid. And have the smoke for him you should have for the boy in Jacksonville. The reason Herbert “folded” in so many big moments is because every single game he played was a big moment because his coaches and were idiots. Harbaugh coached well and fixed the defense but traded away the entire offense and instituted a run first offense. Like you dudes are dying to get to narratives so bad you lose all logic. Herbert has his flaws but Baker Mayfield hasn’t done shyt but put up big numbers while passing 600 hundred times with better weapons: there’s nothing that he has done for the Bucs Herbert wouldn’t.

On the flip side, there’s no evidence of Baker having the self control to run a Harbaugh style offense. We saw him in Cleveland.
