It was common knowledge. they wanted Fox first. Family Ties said no. They filmed 75% with Eric... they realized it wasnt working. Went back to Family Ties and worked it out. Thats why most of his scenes where at night
Stoltz was trying to look too cool. Its crazy how good casters are. Michael J Fox is Marty McFly

I love the first 2. The 2nd is my favorite movie of ALL TIME. To this day I’ve never seen all of the 3rd one. I just hate the western aesthetic
You must watch it.. AND please watch it as part of a story .. DO NOT compare them.. They're are different movies and tones like infinity war and endgame

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Oh wow, they actually filmed with him:mindblown:

Fox was made for that role
Not only did they film it, but they were also practically to the point in production where (according to Thomas F. Wilson) the cast members were literally starting to say their goodbyes to each other and inquiring what movies they were going to shoot next. Opinions of Stolz's performance varied among the cast members. Christopher Lloyd thought he was great, Lea Thompson thought he was too serious, & it affected the tone of the movie, and Thomas Wilson thought he was awful, & he personally wanted to kick Eric Stolz's ass for going method on him a few times. All three enjoyed working with Michael J. Fox a lot more.

i felt the same way as kid. I didn't like part 3 (even though it was the only one i got to see in the theater in real time)

i'm not too big on westerns in general but i absolutely love the third one. great book end to the GOAT trilogy.

Not a fan of 3. Never have been. Part 1 is a perfect movie. Part 2 has cool shyt but I think 1 is way better than both sequels.

I hated 3 at first. Once I stopped comparing things and liking and disliking something for what it is and for the story its telling and is apart of, I stated to enjoy it more. Plus after watching 1 the foreshadowing to 3 is there. I know there were no sequel plans initially, but I appreciate them going back to 1 to find seeds and use them.

I saw all 3 in theaters..
