mini disk. made irrelevant by the cdr and burn drives plus the advent of digital music files and napster

it was a clunky transition technology between cd's and mp3 era. if you blinked it was here and gone in the timeline for reasons I named above... sony was taxing too much for the tech and the software you used to upload the music to your player was clunky as fukk

I bought the blank discs, home player with recorder, the portable joint, then the actual deck for the whip, etc.

I got over 200 mini discs up in the attic that I made over a 4 of 5 yr span.

People would get in the car and be like :ohhh:

I'd be like "yeah, ppl ain't up on this yet":jawalrus:

Ppl never got up on it:mjcry:

Had the sport Minidisc Sony made, wish I still had some of the stuff I put on there 20 years ago. You could record straight to it like a cassette but in CD quality, shyt was fire :wow:

Breh, I been waiting 26 yrs for a comment like this:blessed::russ:

I gotta get on Amazon and find a MD Player:wow:
only way i'd go back to this is if someone made a freeware jail broken software program to manage your files. that was always the deal breaker with this joint. it needed some third party love. a better process for loading shyt
I still have mine. Recording a ripped lossless CD from your computer through optical to the minidisk deck sounds so sweet, even to this day.
I had one in like 03-04 before I got an mp3 player. It was cool because it had more storage at the time

I also had a CD player that could play burned audio files in the Data format so you could fit like 9-10 albums on there. It was jank as fukk and killed the battery tho lol
prices came down from ridiculous on these after 02 i got one around then too. last album i remember uploading to a minidisc was the love below

the sound was crispy as fukk to me. made listening a pleasure.
