I got over 200 mini discs up in the attic that I made over a 4 of 5 yr span.

People would get in the car and be like

I'd be like "yeah, ppl ain't up on this yet"


Ppl never got up on it

Yeah breh I thought they were dope as a child but now they're kinda mid. Looking back it looks like a cheesy flash game.
Which I also liked back in the day so that make sense. Stuff like Dragon Fist 3, Boxhead or those cartoon network flash games.

You couldn’t tell me laser disc weren’t the next big thing in home theater. I thought my Uncle was rich when he had the full audio set up with the equalizer in the wood case and the glass door. Watching Jurassic Park on laser disc blew my mind. I remember bragging about being able to see it in surround sound on laser disc at school

I had one in like 03-04 before I got an mp3 player. It was cool because it had more storage at the time

I also had a CD player that could play burned audio files in the Data format so you could fit like 9-10 albums on there. It was jank as fukk and killed the battery tho lol

I was definitely on that sony minidisc wave. So dumb only slightly more convenient than CDs at the time. Playback quality wastho.

sony botched that whole shyt. made it expensive and sole proprietary

by the time prices came down in the early 2000's mp3 players were out... the end

Sony played a stupid game and lost. I actually loved this tech and still have some tapes but prob not a player.
