You guys DO realize that this message board is an anomaly, right? Have you looked up the reactions to B.o.B.'s flat earth nonsense on any other other forum, comment section or website? AV Club, Reddit HipHopHeads, Kanyetothe, Gawker, Boxden, etc? Because like 99.99% of everyone on those sites is mocking B.o.B.'s comments, just as you would mock someone for saying the world is flat. Whoops. See, "saying the world is flat" is an expression meaning to have a ridiculously wrong opinion. That doesn't translate here, where a disturbing amount of people honestly believe the world is flat. I can't think of a replacement phrase. But please, keep posting, because it is amazing.

How can you prove that the earth is a sphere, short of what someone else told you? What, you're going to say because NASA took pictures of earth from space? You know that those are composite, pieced to together images right? What a lot people fail to do is look at both sides of the argument. You don't have to be convinced, but you haven't even bothered to delve deeper into what flat earth theory entails.

It is remarkably easy to discover the answer to all of your questions. Mostly because the thing you are questioning was 100% proved centuries ago.

Getting to space and getting to the moon are 2 different challenges.
In terms of keeping up the ruse, the majority of people put so much faith in what they are told and shown, that anything that would contradict that would send them into a roller coaster ride of emotions. All that they believed in turned out to be a lie. That wouldn't sit well with people because the first thing they are going to ask is "why is NASA getting all this money?" We want to believe in American Exceptionalism so bad that we'll overlook and disregard logical questions.
