Don't even think that I can think in terms of albums anymore, but I keep a rough list of what I listened to and liked

the Drake album, biggest albums of year, had a lot of fun listening and thinking about the music and what worked and what didn't
plus the bonus tracks

The Yo Gotti tape had some fire too

42 Dugg Go Again

didn't hear the Nas

The Weeknd The IDOL soundtrack/playlist was fire

Puff's album had some moments

Jeezy album was pretty fire

Payroll Ghost Mode

Gibbs didn't drop anything?

People always say that J Cole is the most boring MC. I pick this cat.

His Thanksgiving performance was fukkin dreadful.

At least Cole is an artist passionate about his shyt. Harlow is completely manufactured and constantly gives the impression of someone checking off boxes on the "How To Become A Star" list. Even with that "real rap" album he dropped, to prove he can rap or whatever. It's all calculated, it's all DJ Drama approved, and the end goal is becoming Drake that's not happening. Dude has 52mil monthly listeners on Spotify, which is more than Kendrick (50mil) and Cole (46mil) yet can't sell out a large tour or do anything real. It's a shell game.

In terms of the list...whatever. None of those albums will be on my list but I get why they've been chosen. Wasn't a big year for big mainstream rap releases so he had to dig more than usual. But you gotta be sucking a lot of industry dikk to put Harlow on that list. Everything he does is deliberate, planned, and calculated for maximum reactions so I don't respect him.

Keep telling nikkas no matter what happens Jack Harlow ain't happening man. They been trying to get that great white hope artist and it won't work. They gotta learn that superstars are organically produced. That force fed industry shyt don't work

This list is better than the RS list which ain't saying much. Harlow my only problem tbh

This is a very good list outside of 5, 6, and 7. Jack Harlow shouldn’t be on any year end lists, that Yo Gotti album was just pretty good and one of his lesser ones, and Boosie hasn’t made a good start to finish good project since before he went to prison.

Well it’s HIS list but as usual, it’s terrible :camby:

Nas and the Alc/Larry collab the only two I fukked with from his list
i concur....list super cliche.... this spitta jd album wasnt even a top 3 spitta project let alone a top ten rap album...terrible list.

Peewee Longway probably dropped my favorite tape this year. Nothing crazy. Just some classic Atlanta trap shyt. A few tracks needed to be longer.

Top 5

1.) Peewee Longway - Who Am I?
2.) Rome Streetz - Noise Kandy 5
3.) Nas - Magic 2
4.) Payroll - Ghost Mode
5.) Bla$ta - N.O.N. Fiction

That Dave and Central Cee project is the surprise of the year. Had no intentions of ever listening to Central Cee but said fukk it because Dave is one of my favorite Rappers past 6 years

He sleeping on that Doja Cat album Scarlett. She revived Hip Hop.

Look, I know a lot of cats don't like her for all of her bullshyt outside of music, but you can not deny that she knows how to make great music.

A straight guy that utters these words:
"Yo put on that Doja Cat new joint"
Is undoubtedly the studdliest man on earth
I'd love to meet him
