by having Demar anchor it and letting him get a bulk of his possessions there, you can tell thats Billys plan and it allows for extended stretches of Zo/Caruso/Zach and that trio is gonna be a handful
Demar was effective tonight in ISO and thats with missing some easy ones and not getting his normal calls - he had the highest point per possession rate in the NBA last season in ISO (KD was 2nd, Zach was 3rd)
They ran Demar with the bench a lot, so that seems to be the solution, he just need to actually make those easy lay ins
Vucevic's defense was worse than Pau's.
It was Boozer level bad. Thibs used to bench him the entire 4th quarter in Playoff games

Glad we got the win.
It sucks that even after all the moves we made, we still have to depend on Zach hero ball.
I wasnt a fan of the Vuc last year and I feel the same. He is Balkan Boozer....yeah he can score and he will give 20/9 but he is giving it all back on the other end so it's not helpful in the grand scheme....maybe we can pawn him off somehow
DeMar missed a lot of bunnies, hopefully those will fall. Not gonna overreact yet, although dude needs to move the ball.
I really hope Zo's shot starts falling
I really fukking wished we coulda got a legit starting 4 instead of DDR bc Pat is gonna get 5 shots a night in the starting lineup. I'd rather him off bench where he can be focal point offensively
We need Coby back for bench scoring badly

Glad Billy went with ayo. He is just a gamer makes good shyt happen. Same with caruso. Them anchoring the bench with derozan can keep our bench good.
Need to see more out of green and brown jr.
The offense will come around. Actually prefer a win like this can def see the improvement on the defensive end. Last year we would have blew that game with silly turnovers and bad shots down the stretch this game we made great defensive stops forced key turnovers and didn't make silly turnovers.
On to the pelicans. I'm encouraged didn't expect us to blow Detroit out because it was their home opener and Casey is a good coach. Grant is a star.
