Y'all good on Wendell but the price for Vucci was 2 firsts, WCJ, and PorterI loved the trade when it happened but if he doesn't get back to form we kinda got robbed. It is what it is.
Price was too high.
Not only did we give up an ok young player and salary relief, but two picks too
1 pick and Porter honestly was enough.
I wasnt a huge WCJ guy but he would actually be a better center on this team esp defensively

Otto wasn’t shyt, WCJ is mid. The 2023 pick will likely be a late first rounder.

No shyt Vuc is better in a vacuum dummy.
But my main issue is we coulda spent those resources on a more well rounded center. Vuc never impressed me putting up points on those shytty Magic teams. We gave up 4 resources overall for an offense only big.....
I really hope Vuc doesnt get it together and this is just part of a general decline bc dude is a straight sieve outside of the random steals he gets sometimes

vucevic struggling efficiency wise he still
averaging damn near 5 apg,mid range still butter(54%) , he’s shooting a career low since his rookie year close range & his 3 point shot off so far

Wendell Carter jr is 41st

We should know this because we watched Carter jr get his ass handed to him on a Nightly basis by center after center including 1 we picked up in free agency, Tony Bradley
Imo we didn't overpay for Vucevic just like we didn't overpay for derozan . It was the cost of doing business for a franchise whose reputation was in the mud.
Vucevic is a career 20 and 10 guys as was already pointed out. The issue we are worrying about with him is likely more due to new team new system actually playing defense usage rate etc the least of our worries should be him getting back on track offensively. We are 8 games into the season and need to develop our chemistry. We are still 6-2 without even playing our best basketball I'm still encouraged and not worried about vuc turning it around. I saw him drop 40 and 20 on us one game he will get it together

Porters value was an expiring contract, you retard....not sure why that's hard to grasp

Real talk, finally somebody see the bigger picture , we try and shop him now that shyt might bring the morale of the team down imo
It's just a little frustrating cuz Wendell Carter Jr is only slightly less productive this season on 9 minutes less per game. I know the stat sheet doesn't tell the whole story but that works both ways -- I'm positive Wendell has been better on defense. But who knows if we could've attracted Ball and DeRozan here without getting Vucci Mane so fukk it you right let's ride this shyt till All-Star break n see what happens. One things for sure though, I'm not interested in trading him for trash+picks, so unless we can get an upgrade at the position I'm more focused on this playoff push.
