The problem is now they either telegraph all their jokes or just straight up explaining their jokes directly to the viewer. Like I know it was never smart humor to begin with, but I don't need you verbally breaking down the joke and beating me over the head with it.

Funny, I and friends have the belief that the seasons before the cancellation were horrible

it's definitely a different show. I know people who only fukk with the newer eps that I find unbearable. Even tho the animation and voice acting were more crude in the earlier seasons, it felt like there was an actual plot in each episode and the jokes were a more natural byproduct of the situations. In the newer ones it seems like the plot is just a device used to jam in as many random pop culture/ flashback jokes as possible

you can make the exact same unfunny montage for the simpsons for the past 10 years or so

FG ain't been good since it came back from cancellation but those first few seasons are classic

I don't know... they got cancelled after season 2 right? I always thought season 1 was stale, Loved me the next few seasons though as a kid. But Im not even sure that shyt holds up. Just too basic.

Yup. When it first started, its first 2 or 3 seasons? Dope. Still holds up. Once fox brought it back tho, it was all downhill.

And The Simpsons is easily better

The animation from the first 3 seasons in so bad I can't enjoy the show.

I cant stand family guy anymore... is used to love that show. it turned to shyt after 5 seasons. I dont even find the first 5 seasons funny anymore
I still like American dad. Underrated show. Roger, Steve and Stan are classic characters

Once it stopped being a Family Guy clone, it got so much better

That being said, I still watch Family Guy ... even though it's not as funny as it once was, once in a while a joke will hit for me, which is MORE than I can say for current day Simpsons

Damn seeing people hype up the first few seasons of family guy on here is mad confusing. Can't be the first few seasons with the ridic shytty animation and stiff ass sounding voice actors. Family guy IMO was at it's best from like seasons 4-10.
