From 1830 to 1860 the average work week dropped about 10 hours:blessed:

From 1860 to 1904 it dropped another 10:ohhh:

From 1904 to 1950 the average work week eventually dropped 10 more hours to the 40 hour work week of today:wow:

But from 1950 to 2022,about 70 years later:patrice:? Living in a so called technological revolution, where a.i boost effeciency. Where new tools help you create faster. Where tech makes shipping faster and easier. These Europeans aint took 10 hours off in 70 years:mjlol:#GiveUsFree

1. Baby Boom meant the country had more families to sustain, and thus the need for more workers. Also, there was a number of emerging industries such as fast food, sports entertainment and TV that cranked up hours as well.
2. But the reason for the post still stands, we work WAY too much. However, I believe it was Norway or something that's already transitioned to the 4 day work week.

I remember Sweden was trying out a 6 hour work day. Shortened work week might be good too. I think shortened days would be better for employers. And judging from some of the long lines at popeyes, walmart, chick filet they need to crank up the ammount of employees:scust:

Shorten the hours and make some of these places invest in more employees. And if Walmart for example cant afford more employees? Okay, shut some of your stores down. And maybe it makes more room for other smaller mom and pop stores locally.

The serfs worked less hours than your typical successful investment banker or corporate attorney.

shyt is ass backwards. The richer that you got back in the day, the more leisure time you got. Now for the average white collar professional, it’s the opposite.
