I think this movie has the closest shot to catch avatar.

But it wont be easy.

Avatar was in theaters for a long as time and had consistency. The bootleg game and social media wasnt ad prevalent as it is today which tends to kill momentum with movies.

You're also forgetting the 3D of it all. It made it a must see spectacle. It's gonna have an insane second weekend though
