Good unleashed call-in show today.
A caller asked about the lack of blood that is in the current era, most recently pertaining to the HIAC PPV. Austin felt that it was a bit of a downer, considering that there was a precedent set in regards to that kind of match.
He agreed with
Ambrose's comments, about not being a fan of the overtly sexual stuff that happened during his era, nor was he a fan of any of the racial stuff that occurred.
Talked about being a fan of
Bray's finisher, but feels that he can drop his opponent faster- doesn't need to be a long pause all the time. Feels that the spear is overused, and that while
Reigns has the 'Superman Punch' hopefully he has looked at the big picture when it comes to having a cemented finisher.
He also talked about how its a shame that the DDT is now viewed as something that gives one a false finish, when back when Jake was doing it it was lights out- there was no getting up from it. I couldn't agree more.

I listened to
JR's latest show with
Alex Greenfield, who was the former head writer of SD.
This was a really great show. Now, Alex is pretty long-winded but what he says is also highly entertaining.
He talked about nearly coming to blows with
Vince on numerous occasions, in regards to writing certain segments. Said that the relationship would've been better had he played his position and picked his battles.
According to JR, he saw the writing on the wall with his tenure in the 'E' once he moved from Connecticut back to Oklahoma. He does acknowledge what Alex says about
Kevin Dunn never caring for him however and how that may have had something to do with it.
There was high praise for
Mark Henry and
JBL. Alex says that at one point he had written a project for Spike TV and offers had been made for the aforementioned. I definitely could see both down the line doing some acting.
Tells a short story about Mark coming up with a line during a promo against
Rey, that blew
Arn Anderson away and had Vince applauding him.
All in all, it's well worth a listen.
