This is gonna sound hella :mjpls: but I noticed the native Black Austinites are pretty easy to tell apart from the transplants. They’re kinda ratchet (including Killeen heads).

I don’t know, I’ve made a few friends but might be making a move to Houston or back to the East Coast in a few years.

Did y’all see the news about that young lady who got jumped downtown and they found her body in Bell County? Plus all the bodies they’re finding in Lady Bird Lake :wtf:

Also, it’s wild how expensive everything is, no state income tax is great but it’s like they well recoup on that between taxes and general prices. I’m moving from Round Rock to Georgetown soon but thinking this is my last go in Texas period. Ready to move on.

I'm honestly ready to go somewhere too.

I live in Georgetown right now so let me know if you have any questions about living up here

I’m moving this weekend to my new place. Where are the walkable (with a stroller) parks?

Good places to eat? ESP if I want a great salad that’s not mainly iceberg lettuce?

I’ll be living in the Wolf Ranch area, but where are the main Georgetown activities?

I’ve come to accept that I’m just not a Texas girl, I don’t regret moving here but I have about 2-3 years in me before I gotta go and that’s largely because I didn’t want to move back to the East coast while I’m pregnant (now) or while my son is super small as it’s a lot. I love that there’s no state income tax but I feel like I pay for it with the cost of everything else.

I’m so tired of the food options lacking, can’t find a good salad place to save my life, the only good salad I’ve had since I moved down here two years ago was at the Chart House in San Antonio! They have no good Chinese food, I can’t get an Italian cheeseburger :mjcry: and I try to eat local/non chain but I cook better than them, trifling

Visited Austin in May. Hit up Bird Bird, Terry Black, Black's, Slabs III Forks, Papadeaux Seafood, Culinary Dropout and Bulevar .

Slabs and Papdeaux was wack, I like Papadeaux steakhouse though. Terry Black and Black's tasted amazing. they tasted the same to me. Bird Bird was stupid! Bulevar and Culinary was just cool

Going to be back out there in November. Any other spots that are a must to hit up?
