Good to see they weren't a victim of covid. :mjcry:

So many restaurants that were little parts of austin, like shady grove etc... shut down shop for good. its terrible breh :cryto: I dont want this city to fill up with a bunch of corporate franchise restaurants

This place is steady turning into california which has good and bad things attached

I’ve been trying to move to Austin since I was about 16/17. I’ve watched the changes it’s gone through since I was a teen running away and couch hopping on UT and Huston Tillotson’s campus. Austin got discovered late compared to Dallas and Houston and all of these out of state folks took their time running it down. I live in Uptown Dallas and am moving Downtown in March. I see the same shyt happening faster in Dallas. I really think it’s time for me to leave Texas. Texas is over.

There was a year in between transferring to UT when I did what you described. I was living on a friend's couch near Barton Springs. Rode my bike to Zilker Park and surrounding coffee shops damn near every day studying. Nighttime going to comedy shows, concerts, dating, etc. A lot of struggle (did plasma donations for $), but looking back that was a truly magical time in my life. Austin when you're young is a great town (even with the limited diversity).:mjcry:
