I have a friend from San Francisco who's a huge barbecue fan, he came down to Austin for a work trip several weeks ago I drove down and met him. He placed his order for Franklin's BBQ 30 days before we would be in town so when I was there we went and picked up his order and found a spot to chill and eat. Personally I think it was overrated, the meat was very salty and the beans were nothing special the potato salad was nothing special I just think it's mostly hype.

No way I would wait in an 8hr line for that. I grew up and my father used to travel around bbqing, catering etc. So I know good bbq when I taste it. But many ppl dont.

Do you like Terry Black's? That's the only BBQ I had but I thought it was good

The pork rib and mac and cheese were actually my favorite thing

Franklins ain’t what it used to be. Before he got famous on movies and tv shows
