Also I was at franklins bbq an hour before it opened and still couldn’t get anything
I have a friend from San Francisco who's a huge barbecue fan, he came down to Austin for a work trip several weeks ago I drove down and met him. He placed his order for Franklin's BBQ 30 days before we would be in town so when I was there we went and picked up his order and found a spot to chill and eat. Personally I think it was overrated, the meat was very salty and the beans were nothing special the potato salad was nothing special I just think it's mostly hype.
No way I would wait in an 8hr line for that. I grew up and my father used to travel around bbqing, catering etc. So I know good bbq when I taste it. But many ppl dont.

Eastside / sprinkled.Austin is 8% black so how is the black community there? Is it mingled with other groups or do they have their own legit side of town and culture there?
