North Austin near the Domain is nice. Accessible to a lot of things.

I forgot where Home Depot IT is. You typically have more established companies such as Oracle, IBM, Dell, etc in North Austin and startups and "sexy" companies such as WP Engine, Google Facebook, Indeed near or in downtown.

So I bet you want something close to action but also close to work.

I'd also look at South Congress and East Riverside in South Austin as well.

mopac/45 is a nice developing area and close to your work. also domain area has a lot of young professionals. i'd avoid south austin b/c of traffic. congrats on the new gig.

New community that was built to serve the Dell Children's Hospital but I noticed a lot of transplants move there. It's one of the more diverse areas of Austin, it gives you a little bit of that "Austin" feel while still feeling "homey".

Oh and where I live, The Domain is *nice* but it's pretty white and yuppie. Lot of good restaurants and amenities that are very accessible in a three mile radius though and I am close to the train.

We need some more color here so come this way LOL.

So I start work on the 17th (exactly 2 weeks from now) and was thinking driving that way on the 14th.
I am not looking forward to this 20+ hr drive
Cheapest extended stay hotel I found is Studio 6 for the 15th-31st for $712 and it says it's 14 mins from HQ which works out well. I literally only have $900 to my name
I think I can make it work

So within that timeframe, I will be doing alot of exploring. These names y'all giving me sounds so foreign lol and Austin's Craigslist is crap as far as apartments

Depends on what you like. Elephant Room has some pretty nice Jazz. I like Nasty's if I'm going to drink but I know bartenders in there.
