You and I both know that far too many Black people today don't care about issues that affect Black people, unless it's something with a media shock value i.e a cop involved shooting or the controversy regarding the Confederate flag. Unfortunate, but true.

There should be a lot required for black kids to watch and learn but won't because the history system is fukked up. I think i the Slave Narratives in either high school Afro history or college Afro history. It also makes me appreciate black teachers who teach black history because it's done with passion.

I learned more about the racist history of our country from some young white cac in school than Grade School. shyt is rediculous.

But yeah, since the schools will skate around the issue, it's up to parents to show this to their kids.

I'm Jamaican and didn't even learn we were enslaved until my early teens I thought this as AA problems

Slave Narratives is some of the hardest shyt to listen to. We're like 4-5 generations removed from them. It makes my blood boil and to hear the one lady say "I ain't no nikka." shyt breh... I'm not gonna use that word no more.
